MySQLBackupFTP is a comprehensive and practical backup utility. This Backup Software especially made for database administrators who have to backup particular MySQL databases to remote storage. By using MySQLBackupFTP you can even run scheduled backups of MySQL databases. And then store them on a network or local folder, FTP server and even in the cloud (for example, you can store them to Dropbox and SkyDrive). MySQLBackupFTP Main Features
This MySQL Database Backup Software supports TCP/IP and phpMyAdmin connection to the server. We can also connect remotely using SSH tunnel. It also support email notification and backup schedule which is very useful for automatic MySQL Backup.
There are many backup destinations you can choose. You can put your backup in the local or network folder, FTP Server, Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Amazon S3, OneDrive and also Windows Azure Storage. But some of these cloud storage only available for pro version. The free version does not support cloud backup storage.
Connect to MySQL Server
Open MySQLBackupFTP and then click Connect to MySQL Server. Select TCP/IP (Default) and then enter the hostname of the MySQL Server. You can also use the IP address of you server. Enter username and password. Click Test MySQL Connection to test it first.
Click Save & Close to save the connection. Now you can see your databases listed here.
Add Backup Destination
Now we need to add the backup destination. Click the link that say “Add Backup destination”. Now, select one of the available backup destination. For example, if you are going to backup to Google Drive, you will need to authorized in order to use this feature. Copy the authorization code back to this application.
When you click the Authorize button, it will open your web browser and you need to login using your Google account. You will need to allow the application to use Google Drive. Copy the code and paste into MySQLBackupFTP.
