How to Migrate MySQL Database Using ESF Database Migration Toolkit Pro

ESF Database Migration Toolkit Pro is a powerful, easy to use software that helps us to migrate database from one platform to another. It supports many database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, and many others. This article will show you how to migrate MySQL Database using ESF Database Migration Toolkit from one server to another. In other word, we will create an exact copy of an existing MySQL database.

You can use this ESF Database Migration Toolkit to backup your MySQL database. Instead of creating a dump file, this software will copy your tables, structure, as well as your data to another database/server.

How to Migrate MySQL Database using ESF Database Migration Toolkit

First, you may want to download and install the ESF Database Migration Toolkit. You can download the free trial version or purchase the full version. First, let’s choose a Data Source. This is the MySQL Server that is going to be migrated.

Here you need to specify the MySQL Server IP address or domain name, the port, username, password, and the database name. You can only choose a single database at once. Click Next to configure the destination server

Same as previous step, you will need to configure the MySQL Server details here. Click Next and select the tables you want to export or migrate.

Click Next and then click Submit to start the migration process.

Migrate MySQL Database Using ESF Database Migration Toolkit

Wait until the migration process completes. Make sure there is no error. If you are using the trial version, you will have some limitations such as it will only copy 50000 records on each tables.
