And now, we will continue to create a backup plan for my Ubuntu server. I will show you How I backup Ubuntu Server using Acronis Backup 12.5. I will store my backup in the cloud storage (Acronis cloud storage).
Steps to Backup Ubuntu Server using Acronis Backup 12.5
There are few steps we need to take before we can create a backup plan for our Linux server.
Step 1. Install Acronis Linux Agent on Ubuntu
First, we need to install the Acronis Backup agent on our Linux server. Please read my post to install Acronis Backup Agent on Ubuntu Server. Once the agent is correctly installed, make sure you see the new server on the Acronis web console.
Step 2. Add new Backup Plan
Next is to create a new backup plan for the Linux server. Click the Server name, in this case is Ubuntu and then click Backup.
Click Create New to start configure the new backup plan.
On this step we need to specify what to backup. There are three different type available: Entire machine, File and Folders and also Drive/volume. In this example, we use Entire Machine backup. This will backup everything on the server.
To specify the backup destination, click Specify and select your Acronis cloud account.
You can also specify the backup schedule, encryption feature and for how long the backup to keep. Click Create to complete this step.
Now our backup plan is ready. You can run the backup now or let the schedule run the job.
In the next tutorial we will show you how to restore the backup. Acronis Backup is a great solution for Linux Server. The full system backup is very convenient, easy to use and powerful. We highly recommend this Acronis Backup for Linux server admin. If you are looking for a centralized backup management which supports Windows, Mac and Linux, Acronis Backup 12.5 is the answer.
